Position description
Works directly under the General Manager and the Group Executive Chef, for a renowned hospitality group with some of the best restaurants and bars in Costa del Sol, Spain. Responsible for the cooks and Sous Chef under him, controlling the quality of the food and service and ensuring that the standard procedures of the kitchen set by the Group Executive Chef are followed throughout. Contributes to the development and planning of the menus, recipes, techniques, and specifications approved by the Executive Chef. Produces and maintains the highest food quality and controls for all food products served in all areas, according to the needs and desires of the company.
Position requirements
-Creative and innovative style and approach.
-Strong leadership, supervisory, administrative, analytical, and project management skills.
-Experience with budgetary processes; cost control/revenue maximization is an added advantage.
-Knowledge of local laws and regulations.
-Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel mandatory).
-Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is essential
Experience:
-At least 5 years experience in the overall management of Kitchen operations in the capacity of Head Chef.
-Ideally trained in a free-standing restaurant environment of an internationally acclaimed dining group.
- Local knowledge and pre-opening experience are a plus.
