Position description
A private & charter use 40 M/Y M Motor Yacht sailing the Mediterranean is looking for a 1st Officer for a seasonal term starting in June Highly competent,good at Manoeuvres, navigation. Presentable person, fit, excellent references.
The First Officer is the second in command and reports to the captain.
In charge of the deck crew : second officer, third officer, bosun and deckhands. He or the second officer designated security, safety and medical officer. Responsible for overseeing deck operations and maintenance. Deck budgeting/ inventory, Supervision of all toys and tenders, Setup of watch schedules and passage planning.
Position requirements
English fluent, french will be plus.
EU Passport ,
Watch keeping.
Good navigational skills
A charismatic and unflappable personality
Excellent leadership, etiquette and communication skills
Maintenance and engineering experience or understanding
Good grasp of accounting and IT
Good knowledge of all international maritime laws and regulations
